Flat Roof Replacement:
Flat roofs are exactly what they sound like- a Flat roof. This roof is also known as a modified roofing system (base and cap sheet).
Florida building code and manufacture installation suggests that a flat roofing system is installed to a roof that has no pitch, or less than a 2:12 pitch.
It is always recommended that someone with expertise in flat roofing walks the roof for assessment.
We specialize in flat roof replacements. We use Owens Corning Deckseal. Our flat roofs are currently backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty on most flat roof installations.
Roof Underlayment / Water Barrier:
Metal and Tile Roof Underlayment:
High Temp PSU30 – This is a Specialty Peel N Stick underlayment specifically for metal or tile roofs. This has a more durable covering to protect the underside of your metal from movement, such as buckling or wrinkling. It is also supposed to withstand extreme temperatures/ environments such as heat, water, and cold fluctuation.
Shingle Roof Underlayment:
Synthetic water barrier– We install the Owens Corning Rhino U20 secondary Water barrier to protect your plywood from leaks. This is a new upgrade compared to the tar paper method.
Peel N Stick– a self-adhering underlayment protective water barrier. This is a more superior product compared to the synthetic felt. Insurance typically offers an insurance premium discount if peel n stick is applied to the entire roof and not just the valley lining.
Our crew is installing Peel N Stick over the plywood to the valley linings and entire roof slopes to waterproof the roof decking prior to shingle installation.
